    WordPress Website Design Services Agency

Our WordPress website design agency builds custom, performance-optimized, SEO-ready WordPress websites that grow with your business — combining conversion-focused design, clean custom development, robust security, and ongoing maintenance into a complete WordPress solution that powers your digital presence, supports your paid and organic marketing programs, and gives your team a content management system they can actually use without developer dependency for every routine update.

    Brand-Led Custom WordPress Design

Creating fully custom WordPress designs that authentically represent your brand — developing unique visual systems with custom typography, color palettes, component libraries, and illustration styles that differentiate your site from the generic theme-based WordPress sites that populate every industry, designing conversion-focused page layouts that guide visitors toward your primary commercial goals, and producing mobile-first responsive designs that deliver a consistent, premium brand experience across all devices without the layout compromises that generic themes impose on mobile users representing the majority of your website’s actual daily traffic.

UX Research and Conversion-Focused Layout Design

Grounding every WordPress design decision in UX research and conversion rate optimization principles — analyzing your target audience’s behavioral patterns, mapping the ideal visitor journey from first landing to conversion, applying evidence-based CTA placement, social proof positioning, and form design that systematically reduces the friction preventing visitors from completing your desired conversion actions — ensuring the custom WordPress site we design generates measurably more leads, demo requests, and purchases per visitor than the generic theme-based site it is replacing from day one post-launch.

WordPress Block Editor and Gutenberg Development

Building custom WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) experiences — creating custom blocks, block patterns, and Full Site Editing templates that give your content team maximum editorial flexibility without requiring developer involvement for every page update — ensuring your marketing team can create new landing pages, blog posts, and campaign pages that maintain perfect brand consistency with the approved design system, rather than building a beautiful custom design that gets gradually corrupted as non-technical staff make arbitrary visual modifications to compensate for an inflexible or poorly structured WordPress CMS implementation.

    Responsive Design and Cross-Device Testing

Delivering fully responsive WordPress designs tested across all major devices, screen sizes, browsers, and operating systems — conducting systematic QA on iOS and Android mobile devices, tablet form factors, standard desktop widths, and ultra-wide displays — identifying and resolving every layout, typography, interactive element, and image rendering issue before launch across the full device and browser matrix that represents your actual audience, ensuring every visitor to your new WordPress site receives a premium experience regardless of the device, browser version, or operating system they use to access it.

Design System Documentation and Brand Guidelines

Delivering comprehensive design system documentation alongside every custom WordPress build — documenting the complete visual design system including all typography specifications, color codes, spacing rules, component usage guidelines, and icon library — providing your marketing team, future designers, and any development partners with the complete brand reference they need to create new on-brand assets, extend the website with new page types, and maintain visual consistency across your entire digital presence without requiring involvement from the original design team for every new creative deliverable.

    WCAG Accessibility and ADA Compliance

Designing every custom WordPress site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards — ensuring sufficient color contrast ratios, keyboard navigability for all interactive elements, screen reader-compatible semantic markup, appropriate focus indicators, accessible form labels, and descriptive alt text for all images — reducing the growing ADA website accessibility litigation risk for your business while simultaneously improving the technical SEO signals and user experience quality that benefits all visitors and directly impacts your Google search ranking performance.

    Custom WordPress Design Benefits

    • Unique brand identity standing apart from generic theme-based competitors
    • 134% average CVR lift over previous theme-based WordPress sites
    • No page builder bloat — clean custom code that stays fast as it grows
    • CMS built for your team — editors update content without developer help
    • Design system documentation maintaining brand consistency long-term

    Last updated: June 2025
We build WordPress websites as marketing assets — SEO-first URL architecture, Core Web Vitals optimization, structured data schema, CRO-aligned layouts, and CRM integration from day one, not bolted on afterward. We build on clean block themes rather than heavyweight page builders that create technical debt and performance problems. Every build connects with your technical SEO, CRO programs, and Google Analytics setup.
We prefer not to. Page builders like Elementor and Divi introduce significant performance overhead, vendor lock-in, and bloated code that harms Core Web Vitals scores. TimeZ Marketing builds on WordPress block themes using Gutenberg full-site editing. According to Google’s Web Vitals documentation, page load performance is a direct ranking factor — something page builders frequently compromise. For clients already on Elementor, we can work within that framework while minimizing performance impact.
SEO is built into the architecture from day one — URL structure, internal linking architecture, Schema.org structured data markup, meta title and description templates, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, robots.txt configuration, and Core Web Vitals optimization during the build phase. We integrate with Yoast or Rank Math and connect Google Search Console before launch. This ties into our technical SEO services, SEO agency programs, and search visibility growth strategies.
Core Web Vitals are Google’s page experience signals — Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). Google uses these as organic ranking signals. A poor score hurts rankings and visitor experience. TimeZ Marketing optimizes all three during every WordPress build, targeting green scores across all pages on both desktop and mobile. We validate against Google PageSpeed Insights and real user monitoring before every launch.
A typical project takes 6 to 10 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on page count, custom functionality, and content availability. We provide a detailed milestone timeline at kickoff. The most common cause of slippage is delayed content delivery — we provide content templates and guidance to minimize this. For urgent timelines, we offer accelerated delivery options.
Yes. We handle full WordPress migrations — legacy themes to block themes, page builder builds to clean Gutenberg, and host-to-host moves. Every migration includes a comprehensive pre-launch redirect mapping audit to protect your existing organic search rankings, with post-launch monitoring in Search Console and Google Analytics to catch any issues immediately.
For most B2B and professional services sites, we recommend managed WordPress hosting on WP Engine, Kinsta, or Flywheel. For high-traffic or e-commerce sites, we evaluate requirements individually. Managed hosting handles automatic WordPress core updates, daily backups, and server-level caching — significantly reducing ongoing maintenance burden for teams without dedicated DevOps.
Yes. Every project includes a post-launch training session covering the block editor, custom post types, form management, plugin update procedures, and basic troubleshooting. We provide a written guide specific to your site so your team can manage content confidently without relying on us for routine updates — a common failure point with other agencies’ deliverables.
CRM integration is built in from the start. We connect WordPress forms to HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or other platforms using native integrations or lightweight custom code. We also configure GA4, Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Meta Pixel during the build — connecting into our marketing automation and analytics agency capabilities.

WordPress Rebuild: Load Time 6.8s→0.9s, Organic Traffic +61% in 90 Days

A B2B technology company had a WordPress site so heavily customized by a previous agency that no one internally could touch it without something breaking. It loaded in 6.8 seconds, failed Core Web Vitals on every page, ran 31 active plugins — many conflicting — and had a chaotic URL structure with missing meta data and zero structured data. We rebuilt from scratch in 8 weeks on a clean block theme with a full redirect map, and launched without a single organic ranking loss.

    What We Were Dealing With

    • 31 active plugins with no coherent audit: Three simultaneous caching plugins, two SEO plugins, multiple form plugins creating JavaScript conflicts. Nobody had a clear picture of what was safe to remove, so nothing was touched for years
    • Custom PHP templates nobody could understand: The previous agency built heavy custom templates overriding WordPress core. The site couldn’t be updated safely by anyone who hadn’t written the original code — and that developer was long gone
    • No redirect map planned for migration: The old URL structure included dates in blog post URLs, /category/ prefixes on all taxonomy pages, and inconsistent service page slugs. A migration without a proper redirect map would have destroyed years of earned SEO equity

    What We Built

    • Custom block theme from scratch: Built a new theme using Full Site Editing and Gutenberg blocks — no page builder, no theme framework, no external CSS libraries. Result: 17 plugins total (down from 31), sub-1s load time, and a codebase the internal team could manage after a 2-hour training session
    • Complete 340-redirect map: Audited every URL on the old site, mapped new canonical equivalents, and implemented 301 redirects in WordPress and server config. Prioritized URLs with backlinks using technical SEO analysis. Zero organic ranking loss in the first 30 days post-launch
    • SEO architecture rebuilt from the ground up: Clean URLs with no date prefixes, FAQPage and Service schema on all relevant pages, breadcrumb schema site-wide, XML sitemap submitted to Search Console, and internal linking designed to flow equity from blog content to commercial service pages. Organic traffic up 61% within 90 days of launch

Conversion-Focused WordPress Build: Lead Form Submissions +3.2x in 60 Days

A professional services firm had a WordPress site that looked reasonable but wasn’t generating leads. The site had been designed as a brochure — beautiful visuals, no CTAs, a contact form buried in the footer, and zero CRM integration. Traffic was healthy but conversion rate was under 0.4%. We rebuilt the site specifically as a conversion tool with every page designed around a clear buyer action, HubSpot connected at launch, and outcome-first service page structure throughout.

    What We Were Dealing With

    • Single contact form in the footer — no page-level CTAs: The entire site had one contact form at the very bottom of the contact page. Service pages had no calls to action at all. Visitors arrived, browsed, and left with no friction-free way to initiate contact
    • No CRM — leads going to a shared inbox: Submissions sent an email to a generic info@ address. No lead source tracking, no follow-up automation, and no way to see which pages or campaigns were driving enquiries
    • Pages designed for aesthetics, not buyer intent: Service pages led with brand narrative before getting to outcomes — exactly backwards for buyers who arrive knowing what they need and want to quickly confirm you can deliver it

    What We Built

    • 3-zone CTA architecture on every page: Built a page template system with CTA placement above the fold (primary action), mid-page (value reinforcement + secondary CTA), and end of page (social proof + CTA). Every service page, case study, and blog post has a contextually relevant CTA connected to a specific HubSpot form with source attribution. Ties directly to our CRO services
    • HubSpot integration live at launch: Built bidirectional HubSpot integration — all form submissions flow into HubSpot with source URL, page name, and UTM parameters. Sales team receives immediate notifications. Marketing sees which pages generate the most qualified leads from week one
    • Outcome-first service page structure: Restructured all 12 service pages to lead with outcomes (what you get), follow with process (how we deliver it), close with evidence (case studies + CTA). This structure converts visitors who know what they need — the majority of organic search traffic to service pages

SEO-First WordPress Build: Page 1 for 3 Keywords in 6 Weeks, Organic Traffic +44%

A B2B services company was launching a new WordPress site and wanted to be competitive in organic search from day one. Their previous site had been built without SEO intent — no schema markup, poor URL structure, no consideration of Core Web Vitals, and no internal linking strategy. We rebuilt the entire 28-page site with SEO-first architecture including full Schema.org deployment, a clean URL taxonomy, keyword-mapped page structure, and green Core Web Vitals across all pages. What We Were Dealing With

    • Site built without any SEO intent: The previous site’s URL structure was auto-generated WordPress slugs, service pages had no keyword mapping or intent-based content structure, and the homepage had never been configured with a target keyword. Traffic came almost entirely from direct and branded search
    • Zero schema markup: No structured data of any kind — no Organization schema, no Service schema, no FAQPage markup. Google had no structured signal about what the business does, what services it offers, or how to interpret the content hierarchy
    • Failing Core Web Vitals on all pages: The old site ran on a multipurpose theme with 22 plugins, loading 4.1MB of assets on the homepage. LCP was 5.2s and CLS was 0.18 — both failing Google’s thresholds — which was actively suppressing rankings for all keywords

    What We Built

    • Keyword-mapped URL and page architecture: Before writing a single line of code, built a full keyword map — primary target keyword per page, secondary terms, and search intent classification. Every URL slug, H1, meta title, and opening paragraph was written to a specific keyword brief. Connected with our SEO agency keyword research process and AI-powered SEO content strategy
    • Full Schema.org deployment across all 28 pages: Deployed Service schema on all service pages with @type, name, description, areaServed, and provider properties; FAQPage schema on all FAQ sections; Organization schema with full contact and service catalog on the homepage; and BreadcrumbList schema site-wide. Google began surfacing enhanced results for FAQPage snippets within 3 weeks of launch
    • Core Web Vitals optimized from day one: Built on a lean custom block theme, served WebP images at appropriate sizes, implemented server-level caching via Kinsta, deferred non-critical JavaScript, and preloaded critical fonts. Launch day PageSpeed Insights scores: mobile 94, desktop 98. LCP 0.8s. CLS 0.00

    A Challenge Worth Mentioning

⚡ Client wanted 40 pages — we had to push back on scope to protect Core Web Vitals and launch timeline
The client initially requested 40 pages including a resource library and partner directory. We explained that launching all 40 pages properly — with keyword mapping, schema markup, and CWV optimization for each — in the agreed 9-week timeline was not realistic without cutting quality somewhere. We prioritized the 28 highest-value pages for launch and phased the resource library to a post-launch sprint. The 28-page launch hit every quality target. The resource library launched 6 weeks later, with its own dedicated technical SEO audit before going live.
