Job Description:

Our performance marketing team is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Google Ads Specialist / Consultant to architect, manage, and scale high-impact PPC campaigns. The ideal candidate is a data-first strategist with a proven track record of maximizing ROAS and driving scalable conversions across the entire Google ecosystem. You will lead everything from initial audit and strategy development to advanced script-based optimization and executive reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Funnel Management: Develop and manage comprehensive Google Ads strategies across Search, Display, Shopping (Merchant Center), YouTube Video, and Performance Max (PMax).
  • Strategic Research: Conduct exhaustive keyword research, competitive intelligence (using tools like SEMrush/SpyFu), and advanced audience segmentation.
  • Performance Optimization: Execute daily bid management (including automated bidding strategies), budget pacing, and negative keyword sculpting.
  • Creative Testing: Lead A/B and Multivariate testing for ad copy, extensions, and landing pages to lift CTR and Conversion Rates.
  • Technical Tracking: Partner with developers to ensure 100% accuracy in Conversion Tracking, GA4 Event Mapping, and Enhanced Conversions.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and move the needle on critical KPIs: CPA, ROAS, Quality Score, and Impression Share.
  • Reporting: Translate complex data into actionable growth “playbooks” for stakeholders during weekly/monthly syncs.

Technical Stack and Requirements:

  • Certifications: Active Google Ads Certifications (Search, Measurement, Video, Shopping) are required.
  • Platforms: Expert-level mastery of Google Ads Editor, Google Merchant Center, and Microsoft Advertising (Bing).
  • Analytics: Advanced proficiency in GA4 (Google Analytics 4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Looker Studio for automated reporting.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing monthly spends exceeding $50k.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Marketing, or Business, or equivalent technical experience.

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Attribution Models (Data-Driven vs. Last Click) and the impact of privacy changes (iOS14+).
  • Experience with Scripts or third-party optimization tools (Optmyzr, Adalysis) is a plus.
  • Strong mastery of Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Data Visualization).
  • Ability to work on-site in San Jose and collaborate in a high-speed agency environment.
